Walt
An acrylic painting of my Bronze-winged Pionus parrot Walt. Sadly Walt passed away a few months ago and was only 10, which is quite young for his breed. He had lived with cataracts for almost half his life and was essentially blind but he definitely knew where his food bowl was and had a healthy appetite. Because of his limited eyesight he was however a fairly messy eater and I felt it was fitting that I portrayed him having his daily fruit. On this occasion tucking into a strawberry. RIP Walt.
I used a variety of “Script” acrylic paints and Hobbycraft acrylic paints plus Series 3 heavy bodied titanium white acrylic on Clairefontaine 250gm mixed media paper.
