Blooming Tulips!
A pastel drawing of a bunch of tulips at various stages of maturity. Some time ago I noticed that the bunch of tulips we had in our kitchen had one flower far more developed than the others and it made for an interesting composition. So I took a photo and it sat with the other subject ideas I have until I was thinking about what to do for the “Floral” Challenge. I altered the background colour to try and enhance the colours of the tulips.
Faber Castel and Derwent pastel pencils, SAA soft pastels and pan pastels on Pastelmat paper.
