Autumnal Colours
A painting in Acrylics of Emer Beattie’s “Artists Photo” challenge. I don’t actually find plant related subjects that inspiring for paintings but I do find the SAA challenges good for pushing you outside your comfort zone. Therefore, for this I decided to use a slight compartmentalised impression of the leaves and in doing so I had to also alter the colours slightly.
“Script” and Hobbycraft acrylic paints along with brown and green ink pens for the leaves and Schmincke watercolours for the background washes on Clairefontaine mixed media paper.
