Clouds over Dunstanburgh Castle
An acrylic painting done from a photo I took recently when doing part of the Northumberland coastal path (Craster to Low Newton). It was during the recent heat wave and when I got home I was surprised how cloudy the sky was. I’ve always liked the shape of the castle ruins but never had a camera with me when I’ve been passing. I felt that the angular shapes of the walls and the clouds made it ideal for a more fragmented interpretation.
