Gem
A coloured pencil drawing of Gem our Whippet.
Following on from my portraits of Frodo and Ralph, this is the next in my series using the Derwent Lightfast pencils with Jasper still to come.
As with the portrait of Frodo, it was done on black paper and when the head drawing was finished, I thought it needed a brighter coloured background to bring it “forward”. Having said that, once the colour had been applied it was debatable whether it improved things - but alas too late!
