Pomme on bath night
A painting in acrylics of Pomme a Bare Eyed Cockatoo we used to have. I had previously done a pencil sketch and a drawing in pastels of Pomme and so decided to add a version using acrylics.
Normally Pomme was a smooth feathered white cockatoo but after he’d had a good splash around in the sink the feathers became more spiky and the underlying pink colour, especially around the head, became more prominent.
I used a variety of “Script” acrylic paints and Hobbycraft acrylic paints plus Series 3 heavy bodied titanium white acrylic on W&N Galeria acrylic paper.
