Ralph

An acrylic painting of our Italian Greyhound Ralph. I recently saw in The Biscuit Factory some oil paintings of Cows done by the artist Sue Moffitt which were done using broad strokes with distinct boundaries between colours/tones. I therefore decided to try the style in a painting of Ralph but in acrylics.
The aim was also to do it as a 30 minute challenge. All was going well but when the timer “called time” I wasn't quite happy with it. So I spent a little more time tinkering with it and for once I’m glad that I did.
Acrylic paint on hobby craft 250 gms mixed media paper. A black Posca pen was also used to emphasise some shadows.
Sadly whilst submitting this I have just read that Sue Moffitt passed away recently (4th Feb)
