The height of summer!
Given that I’d taken the time to grow some Sun Flowers this year felt it was only proper to have a go at painting one. Decided to use acrylics and the initial intention was to just use a palette knife to get some 3 dimensional texture. In the end I provided the finishing touches with a brush. Whether it was the quality of the paint, the age of the paint or my technique! but I found it difficult to get the paint to adhere when over painting.
